Are there any special requirements for installing FormingSuite® on Windows 7?

Windows 7 has introduced several enhancements that can affect the way that FormingSuite® runs if it is not configured correctly. The following steps should be taken to ensure that FormingSuite® runs correctly:

1. Always run the installation utility as an Administrator. This can be done by right clicking on the installation program and selecting "Run as Administrator" from the menu.
2. Due to increased security in the Program Files directory, we recommend installing the software in the root directory.
3. After installing, run FormingSuite® once as an administrator. This can be done by right clicking on the installation program and selecting "Run as Administrator" from the menu. This will initate the required registry entries to ensure that the Excel report generation works correctly.
4. If you are using a network/floating license, you should also disable Error Reporting. Otherwise, in the event that the software crashes, the license may not be released. You can disable error reporting by following these steps:
   1. Click on Control Panel from the Windows Start Menu and go to Action Center.
   2. Expand Maintenance tab and click on Settings under Check for solutions to problem reports.
   3. Check the Never check for solutions option and click on OK. If you need to disable for all users then click on Change report settings for all users and chose appropriate option. This can be done for all applications or just for FormingSuite®.
