Sales Operations Specialist

The Sales Operations Specialist is responsible for supporting the Sales team in delivering fact-based insights to drive business initiatives. Key areas of responsibility include collecting, analyzing and forecasting of sales data and the management of House Accounts.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Sales analysis and forecasting:
    • Prepare and analyze sales forecasts and reports
    • Generate month-end results and prepare gap analysis; Pro-actively identify business opportunities and areas for improvement
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software: Complete ownership of maintaining applications (customer data, customer interaction, business information, automate sales etc.), creating efficiency and making recommendations regarding the use of the software
  • Managing the House Accounts (inside sales) for renewal of sales
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required by VP Sales

Skills and Behaviour:

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office; advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, maintaining good working relationships with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to multi-task coupled with excellent time management skills to meet deadlines
  • Proven ability to think analytically and problem solve with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

Education and Experience:

  • University Degree in Business with a focus on Marketing or Finance
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as Sales Administration; Field experience an asset
  • Experience maintaining Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software


Account Manager (Germany)

The Account Manager is responsible for the sale of Forming Technologies Incorporated (FTI) software and training courses in territory of Germany.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop market need and new business opportunities: Networking; Cold-calling; Conducting presentations and demonstrations promoting the value of FTI software products and services; Ability to qualify business opportunities
  • Develop and nurture relationships with established customer base; Make recommendations for additional features and new product offerings
  • Maintain high-level technical knowledge of FTI software products and future product direction; Up-to-date knowledge of advantages over the competition
  • Understand client needs and technical issues; Serve as customer advocate and trusted advisor; Develop appropriate resolution and strategy to resolve issues quickly and efficiently; Utilize internal support resources in Marketing, Engineering, Technical Support and Sales
  • Provide clear and constructive product feedback to Product team, based on customer use and requirements
  • Develop software and professional services proposals for new and existing customers; Manage all annual software maintenance renewals and proposals
  • Utilize Customer Relationship Management (CRM) or Salesforce to manage customer data, leads and forecasting
  • Achieve or exceed agreed upon sales goals and targets
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required

  • Strong organization skills; Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage competing requests across multiple client engagements
  • Fast learner with the ability to explain technical concepts to a variety of audiences
  • Develop and maintain high-level technical knowledge of products and services
  • Ability to position products (eg. Training)

Education and Experience:

  • University Degree or combination of education and relevant experience
  • 5+ years of direct sales experience – preferably in the technical or engineering field
  • Bilingual in German and English a must
  • Background and contacts in the automotive, aerospace, stamping, or appliance markets an asset
